Sara Porro was born in Milan.
Since her childhood she has had one passion: to design.
She did her first steps in the fashion world in the Nineties thanks to Anna Fendi. As a young designer, Sara has been at Anna Fendi side for almost 5 years, and she followed Mrs Fendi in all the phases of the collection. Sara learned to design handbags thinking of how to make a beautiful but also feasible and functional object. From the meetings with the 5 Fendi sisters with Karl Lagerfield, at Ruspoli palace in Rome, to the work in the factories with the authentic leather goods producers.

Also an important collaboration with the brand ETRO from Milan.
Both for handbags and footwear.
Already senior, after the experience with the japanese brand ANTEPRIMA, Sara has firstly followed the dream vision of Kean Etro for the accessoires, to focus afterwards on the women accessoire collection with Veronica Etro. Sara has represented the executor of the Etro's vision, from the retro unisex sneaker wanted by Kean, to Veronica’s idea of a chicken bag, become an iconic object for the company, for the incredible selling success.

In 2000 Sara began her capsule collection Dove nuotano gli squali…
A small fish in the luxury market.

Today Sara’s collection focuses on the BECKY project.

In 2001 she began to work with Diego Della Valle of TOD’S brand.
In that occasion, the challenge was to transform a unisex brand like Tod’s in a brand for women. Sara achieved to make a shoe with a rubber sole a luxury and very feminine shoe. During the 7 years of exclusive collaboration with Tod’s, among the many creations, the ballerina/ballet flat DEGAS with its lightness has become, with the iconic Tod’s DRIVER shoe, a symbol of success for the company. Sara achieved to make, together with the company technicians, her idea of iconic sneaker Tod’s with DRIVER GOMMINO the Owens project. This project has been the first sneaker with a driver structure in the footwear world.

In BALLY she widened her knowledge of the women and men world sneaker, with particular attention to the Asian market.
Capsule bag collections for AQUASCUTUM, SERGIO ROSSI, SANTONI, FEDON.

Sara likes experimenting new shoe and handbag structures. She was lucky to meet in the different brands technicians she likes to define “the excellence of italian handcraftmanship”. Sara likes defining herself a designer, not a stylist, since she challenges her creativity to find out new modern concepts, not only to make beautiful models.
